this project traces a personal, emotional journey through Mykolaiv via Google Maps imagery captured in 2015—shortly after the Revolution of Dignity. It's a digital stroll through familiar streets, marked by bars and local dives my father used to visit for a ritual “100 grams,” echoing a subtle, melancholic cultural code.

along the way, I document a patchwork of storefronts and beauty salons with quirky names—some in russian, some in ukrainian—and the fire station proudly titled in the national language. These snapshots offer more than just urban details; they preserve a transitional moment in the city’s identity and memory.
